Center for Technology and Innovation

Center for Technology and Innovation

Endicott, New York

Located in the cradle of American innovation—from IBM to General Electric—the Center will be a catalyst for research and public awareness about how successful technologies are created and implemented, and for exploring technology’s role as the intersection of science, culture, economics, and politics. EAI developed the initial organizing principles for interpretation, exhibit space use, and facility sizing in coordination with economic planning and architectural assessment studies. It’s not a science museum, but rather one that focuses on real-world application of innovative scientific and technological thought. So, for example, one focus will be the development of working, mechanical, hands-on interactives, made possible by the incredible depth of talent in the industry “alumni” community.
