National Museum of the Marine Corps

National Museum of the Marine Corps

Quantico, VA

The Children’s Gallery, which will open at the end of 2017, is designed to provide a comfortable and engaging exhibit experience for mixed-age family groups. The gallery expose children to some of the key values, moments, and icons of the Corps. As families enter the gallery, they will immediately be immersed in a set of historic settings that represent conflicts and locations that the Marines have participated in around the world and through time. The primary communication goals of the “adult” museum are distilled down and communicated to a younger audience. Children learn that Marines have served in nearly every conflict in U.S. history, Marines are prepared to movie into action quickly and adapt accordingly, and that Marines serve around the world in various capacities.
